Kate’s upcoming out of office dates are as follows:

To my existing patients

I limit the number of new patients I take in order to maintain availability for the patients I am already committed to, while also maintaining my ability to take care of myself, my family, and my community in other ways. Even so, sometimes my schedule fills up and I am unable to accommodate everyone who wants an appointment in a timely manner.

Here are recommendations for maintaining your treatment plan and health if you aren’t able to find an appointment time:

Get on the waitlist: You will be notified immediately if your preferred appointment time opens up
Schedule ahead: If you know you’ll want regular appointments or “maintenance” sessions, pencil a few into the calendar now. If your schedule changes, I just ask 24 hours notice for cancellations
Schedule a 15 minute phone/ virtual consult: If you need a new herbal formula (e.g. for a new illness / issue) or an adjustment to your current formula, or if you have a new diagnosis or lab results, etc, we can check in by phone and make a plan to keep your treatment plan moving forward.
Reach out directly: Occasionally I am able to accommodate last minute “emergency” visits
Get other care: If you need to be seen immediately and our schedules aren’t lining up, see my list of recommended practitioners below and see if you can get an appointment. Also consider getting a massage, Rolfing, chiropractic, therapy, PT, etc; we have lots of wonderful resources in our community; reach out if you need a recommendation
Prioritize other self care: Take a walk outside, try a guided meditation through an app like Calm or Headspace, cook yourself a nourishing meal, call a friend
Also considering taking care of someone else: research shows that giving even small amount of money or time can increase well being
