Appointment Cancellation Policy
Because treatments are by appointment only and appointment times are reserved for you, we require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations and rescheduling. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the practitioner. To cancel or change an appointment, please cancel via the online scheduling platform, call or text 720-507-5748, or email kate@acupunctureinboulder.com. You will receive an email confirmation once your appointment has been canceled.
Patients who do not honor their appointment commitment will be charged a fee as follows:
Cancellation with more than 24-hours notice: no charge
Cancellation with less than 24-hours notice: 50% of treatment fee
Failure to show without notice: 100% of treatment fee
Arriving late will result in a shortened treatment, and will incur the full fee. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may require rescheduling.
On the rare occasion that we are running more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you will have the option to extend the treatment time, to shorten your appointment with a prorated fee, or to reschedule.
Payment and Refund Policy
Payment is expected at the time of service by cash, check or credit card. No refunds are given for services rendered. We do not bill or submit to any insurance company; superbills may be provided upon request.
Apothecary Policies
We aim to fill herbal formula and supplement orders the same day they are placed during regular office hours. Depending on the volume of requests received on a given day, formula requests submitted after noon may not be filled until the next business day. Large orders, or if an ingredient is out of stock, may require more time.
Typically, refills are considered the same prescription as your last consult. Modifications to your formula or a new prescription (e.g. for a new illness) may require a consult fee.
Phone, text, or email correspondence that takes a total of more than 10 minutes to respond to may be charged a consult fee.
The credit card on file will be charged as soon as your herbs are ready, and your email receipt serves as notice that your formula is ready.
Patients may pick up herbs and supplements from the contactless pickup box outside the office door 24/7 after your order is complete. If a door code is required to access the building, you will find it on the email receipt for your order.
As herbal formulas are custom made, no refunds are offered. No refunds are given for opened supplements, or for unopened supplements purchased more than 30 days prior.
